O’s Notes: Composer, arranger Wayne Alpern leads a string ensemble, the Sirius Quartet for Rezurrektion, a collection of jazz-infused classical music, mostly Mozart classics. The musicians are Chern Hwe (violin 1), Gregor Huebner (violin 2), Ron Lawrence (viola), and Jeremy Harmon (cello). There is a crisp freshness that prevails to make the music exciting. Highlights are “Porgy and Bess”, “A Minor Sonata”, “G Minor Quintet”, and “F Major Sonata”.
