O’s Notes: Drummer Brian Andres leads the Afro-Cuban Jazz Cartel, a large group of Bay Area musicians dedicated to Latin Jazz. Coproducer Christian Tumalan (p) contributed to writing and arranging some of the music, as did conguero Javier Cabanillas and bassist Aaron Germain. Andres harnesses the power and spirit of the collective making San Francisco a rich Latin experience.
