O’s Notes: Miles opened the set swinging hard on “Confirmation”. Miles Hill followed him with a hearty bass solo then Black and drummer Dave Robbins traded solos over a couple of verses. They were just warming up but it didn’t take long for us to get engaged in their space! From there they added eight more covers of jazz classics. Notable selections are “Green Dolphin Street”, “It’s Alright With Me” with a rousing Robbins solo and “I Didn’t Know Hat Time It Was”. This is another special live recording from produced Cory Weeds at The Cellar in Vancouver. Miles and company stay poised all the way through giving us a world-class performance.
