O’s Notes: This German sextet makes Sophisticated Swing their USA debut. The music has a crisp bounce and really swings with Englebert leading the melodies in most cases on clarinet and sax. Guitarist, Rolf Marx also steps forward, notably on “Thou Swell” and Django’s Castle”. Special guest Dan Barnett (trombone & cornet) helped surface the band – Thank you Dan!
