O’s Notes: This is a polished big band that is tight and balanced with a wealth of strong musicians. Larry McKenna does an excellent job on sax, notably on “Tenderly” and “I Wanna Be Happy”. From the bouncy “Nite Train” to “Speak Low”, there are mixes of powerful, harmonized horns and individual solos over 17 tunes that just feel good.
