O’s Notes: They start out swinging with “I’ve Found A New Baby” followed by the contemporary bounce of “The Provincial Correspondent” featuring a cool bass solo from Terry Trentham. There’s a nice arrangement of “Shiny Stockings” followed by the Dixie feel of “Just A Closer Walk”. By now we’re realizing that this quintet is not only talented but also entertaining us with a variety of classic tunes freshened with nice arrangements featuring the players! Goodwin (p, t) is joined by Doug Graham (cl, sax), Dwight Spencer (g), Jim Hall (percussion) and Trentham. There is fresh air and good spirit that is pervasive on Studio Time. Enjoy it.
