O’s Notes: Sarah is one of the brightest young pianists on the scene today. Her playing is well-articulated and precise. She’s playing her own music supported nicely by Billy Hart (d) and Phil Palombi (b). The mood is as fresh as a cool Summer Night, pleasant modern jazz. Michael Brecker makes notable guest appearances on two cuts, one an upbeat neo-bop track, the other a subtle mid-tempo ballad. Nice range, great feel!
