O’s Notes: Pianist Cowan has classical roots but she developed an affinity for jazz when she moved to California from Detroit 25 years ago. Though she performs heavy on the club scene this is her sophomore recording. Her experience is evident as is that of the tight knit band. You will appreciate these pleasant tunes in many settings.
