O’s Notes: Many people know Dan as a successful jazz tenor sax player. For this release, he switched to clarinet, his first instrument. And he is true to the title, swinging up a storm. The band is a well-chosen quartet with Thomas White (d), Chris Colangelo (b) and Chris Dawson (p). They play ten arrangements that flow very nicely and sooth the listener’s pallet.
