O’s Notes: The core trio is bassist Frank Hauch, Bruce Cox on drums and producer, Jesse Green on piano. The guests are sax and flute players Chris Potter, Dave Liebman and Phil Woods, nice additions to the solid rhythm section. The music, mostly originals, ranges from the frolicking opener, “Extreme Sporting” to a swinging vocal version of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”. This is another of many great recordings made on Chiaroscuro Records.
