O’s Notes: Veteran drummer, percussionist, pianist and composer Claudio Scolari teams up with Simone Scolari (t) and Daniele Cavalca (d, perc, p, vibes) for Synthesis, their second recording of modern jazz. The music is an amalgamation of different jazz dorms that comes together best on “Dialogue”, a 14+ minute song that is the core of the 7-tune session. Claudio Scolari and Cavalca wrote all of the music and it is rich with their drums and percussion, a different take and an appreciable adventure.
