O’s Notes: This is a sampling from Gerry’s final three Telarc sessions. 1993’s Parasio features vocalist Jane Duboc with lots of Brazilian flavors. Dream A Little Dream came the following year, a quintet with featuring Bill Mays on piano. Dragonfly in 1995 had a larger band including Dave Grusin (p), Grover Washington Jr. (s) and John Scofield (g). Mulligan made his baritone sax compliment each of the musicians and settings very well. The collection is a true testament to his warmth and versatility.
