O’s Notes: Whenever we hear a clarinet (courtesy of Kenny Davern here) we are reminded of Dixie but this music really swings. Davern’s notes are rich and complimentary to the warmth of Ruby’s coronet. Both men are polished musicians who extract the sweetest tones from their instruments. It is a bouncy and soothing set.
