O’s Notes: This 2CD set pairing bassist Ray Brown and pianist Jimmy Rowles consists of two albums produced by Carl Jefferson 20 years back and the sound is still very fresh! The titles say it best, the music is: “As Good As It Gets” (1978) an very “Tasty” (1980). They play seamlessly bringing out the feeling of the music with lots of dynamics.
