O’s Notes: The Jazz KENNection is appropriately titled with the headliners, Davern (clarinet) and Peplowski (sax) feeding off of each other on intertwined, improvisational melodies. When they come up for air, Howard Alden steps up with cool jazz melodies on guitar. The program consists of nine popular swing songs including “Careless Love”, the slow, cool “Creole Love Call” and “All of Me”. The sum is more than the parts as the musicians enthusiasm spills over to the listener.
