O’s Notes: Pianist Gregg Kallor is equally adept on upbeat burners an ballads though the set favors the latter. He plays with full-bodied tones and nice pace in front of his trio with Chris Van Voorst Van Beest (b) and Kendrick Scott (d). The 12 compositions are mostly originals with a swinging new arrangement of “On Green Dolphin Street” thrown in for balance. It’s a pleasant session.
