O’s Notes: Geoff Roach (as, fl) leads his octet though a dozen newly arranged standards. The signature of their sound is accessibility to a wide audience without being too smooth. Song selection is good with really nice work from Matt Kesner (ts) and Jack Conway (g) on “Pink Panther”. We also liked “Saudades” and “Love Me or Leave Me”. This is their fourth release and the formula continues to be strong.
