O’s Notes: JC Sanford plays trombone and leads a 15-piece ensemble to create a fresh take on music for his debut, Views from the Inside. This is jazz emanating from Brooklyn, a resurging city where a lot is happening lately! The use of accordion (Jacob Garchik) and vibes (Tom Beckham) add to the uniqueness of the sound. All twelve selections have themes based in or around Brooklyn. The sound quality is pristine capturing the true timbre of all instruments in an open stage that is never congested. Be patient and enjoy this performance. It is orchestral and somewhat intoxicating.
