O’s Notes: Brazilian guitarist, trombonist, conductor, arranger/composer Emiliano Sampaio moved to Austria in 2012 where he now resides. This is truly a jazz symphonic orchestra led by Sampaio who engaged a very talented team of musicians and recorded the performance live in Graz, October 2021. We enjoyed the adventure on “Between Dances” and “War”, They contrast with the swinging groove of “Popping, Chopping and More”. The improvisation is abundant and well-integrated with the orchestra for an enjoyable listening experience.
