O’s Notes: Drummer Jerry Kalaf performs eight original tunes in three different configurations. There are two piano, bass & drums trios and a sextet that adds guitar, sax and percussion. The players are unique in each band held together by Kalaf but presenting views of his work from different angles. We enjoyed the warm bossa nova groove on “Siyaya Samba”, the bounce of “This One’s For Jim” and the tranquility of “Moving On”.
