O’s Notes: Pianist and composer Lafayette Harris, Jr. forms a trio with bassist Peter Washington and Lewis Nash on drums. We loved the sound of the trio on “I Love You, Yes I Do” and that feeling persists over the entire set, twelve songs including three originals. We enjoyed “Bloomdido”, a taste of ragtime on “Please Send Me Someone To Love” and “Blues For Barry Harris”. There are a variety of mixed-tempo songs all of which are good proving You Can’t Lose With The Blues!
