O’s Notes: A Very Gypsy Christmas is exactly as billed, the classic Holiday tunes cast in a swinging jazzy, gypsy mode. Lead by guitarist Doug Munro, Ken Peplowski (cl), Ernie Pugliese (g), Michael Goetz (b) and violinist Howie Bujese make us feel like Grappelli or/and Django are in the house! Cyrille-Aimee Daudel adds vocals to several tunes rounding out the effort. Of note: “We Three Kings” featuring Bujese, “Oh Tannenbaum” and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”.
