O’s Notes: Swedish guitarist Tomas Janzon spent time in Los Angeles before arriving in New York where he currently resides and produced his latest album. Jazz Diary captures some of Janzon’s many musings and musical ideas from sleepless nights, daydreaming, etc. He fleshes out those ideas over time and eleven compositions emerged for this effort. His band is a trio with Nedra Wheeler (b), and either Tony Austin (tracks 1–6), or Chuck McPherson (tracks 7–10) on drums.
