O’s Notes: The Good Old Days is the 4th Act from pianist, composer Ted Rosenthal’s Trio in 4 Acts recorded Summer 2024 with his two working trios. Bass duty is split equally between Martin Wind and Norika Ueda. Tim Horner plays drums on eight selections with Quincy Davis playing on the other two. Special guest clarinetist Ken Peplowski jumps right in on “Hot Sauce” and again on “Sunny Side Up”. We also liked the ragtime classics “Maple Leaf Rag” & “Schmatta Rag”, and “Autumn In New York”.
