O’s Notes: Paul plays solo piano for the bulk of the material on this session. The exceptions are the bossa nova beats of “Barreiros” where he’s accompanied by guitarist Steve Boynton, and on the finale where he plays synthesizer. Potyen’s compositions are well beyond a few chord changes. Each of the songs has a different character with strong intricate personalities. The session is relaxing.
