O’s Notes: Veteran jazz sax player Joshua Redman continues his seemingly endless journey expanding his horizons with James Farm. This collection has elements of Avant Garde, bebop and R&B. Redman’s cohorts Aaron Parks (p), Matt Penman (b) and Eric Harlan (d) are up to the task. Each of them contributes original tunes adding to the diversity of the program. We liked the funky beats of “I-10”, “Bijou”, a ballad and the upbeat “1981”, our favorite of the set.
