O’s Notes: The brassy ensemble embarks on eight new tracks. This is Modern jazz with a few that push the limits hinting at free jazz but always maintaining structure. Trumpeter David Weiss leads the band but shares writing responsibilities with other members, all are polished musicians. This is the second effort form the octet and it shows promise.
