O’s Notes: Sax and flute player, John Alexander composed these ten selections, a fresh collection of modern jazz. The music is peacefully warm on songs like on “Caricias Amorosas” and “Two Bits At Ten”. They swing on a more upbeat pace with “New Blues” and the title track. John surrounds himself with strong accompaniment, typically piano bass and drums with added brass on several selections. The North Carolina Arts & Science Council support the project. It’s a worthy cause.
